Dear Friends,
I will have a two-man art show with my Father, Vladimir Iwasiuk, and myself at the Santa Paula Art Museum on January 17, 4-6 PM, 117 10th Street. The “art gene” is usually uni-generational; thus, there are very few father-son art exhibits. My father’s strength was in oil painting, but he also did sculpture. I am primarily a sculptor, but I also do the occasional watercolor, charcoal, or caricature. My father’s best oils, including his favorite subject, a blacksmith working in his shop, will be displayed. Also, a painting that was the subject of many master painters, such as Rembrandt, Caravaggio, Velázquez, Peter Paul Rubens, and Vladimir Iwasiuk: “The Supper at Emmaus”, where the disciples of Jesus discover that he had indeed risen. I have been busy with sculpting the human hand, which is one of the more difficult subjects for a sculptor to achieve. I guarantee that this will be the most unique art show you have ever seen. You will not be disappointed. Gus Iwasiuk
